Hello and welcome to my website! As simple as it may seem, I've spent a good bit of time on this and I've got it to a point that I'm really happy with. After I recently came across Bulma, a CSS framework, it enabled me to create a simple yet good-looking personal website (imo). Before starting this, I had already used it to create a set of dashboards at work, which were well received, so the next step was to make my own site with it.
There have been many iterations of my personal website over the years, but I always tend to forget about it and then end up taking it down for a period of time before starting fresh. The previous version of my site was online for all of a matter of weeks before the container running it went down for whatever reason and I couldn't be bothered fixing it. So whether or not this site will stick around, I'm not sure. I love the idea of keeping a blog, so I just need to commit to posting now and again.
I think the main issue I have in keeping a blog is having an unrealistic expectation I set myself as to how I will use it. "You should post once a week", I'll say to myself. Well, as doable as that may seem, it's easier said than done. It quickly turns into a pressure I could do without, becoming more a chore than something I enjoy. It doesn't help that I'm a perfectionist, so unless a post is written with perfect spelling, grammar and structure, I'm not happy with it.
So here goes nothing. I'm going to try and care less about the quality of the writing, and more about allowing myself to just write something. That's the whole point right? I've no idea if even a single person will read this, but it's not really about who else will read or appreciate it, it's more a kind of personal release. A moment of reflection, that over times becomes a very interesting overview of what I've been up to.
Anyways, I will leave this here. Let's see where this goes...
